How to Stop Weight Gain From Zoloft

Sertraline, or Zoloft, is typically a weight-neutral medication, meaning it does not cause any weight gain or loss, according to an article published in Psychology Today. However, in some people it can lead to weight changes. If depression led to weight loss, then weight gain while taking Zoloft may be due to improvement of depression symptoms. But if your weight gain is unwanted, you can prevent it. Remember that adults typically gain weight every year, even if they are not taking medications.

Monitor your weight as soon as you begin taking Zoloft. Update your doctor regularly on any weight changes. Make dietary changes as soon as you notice even slight weight gain. Waiting too long will make the weight more difficult to lose.

Adjust your diet. Reduce the typical amount of calories you’re eating. Eat more low-calorie foods, such as fruits and vegetables. Increase the fiber in your diet by eating more whole grains and legumes. Save sweets for an occasional treat.

Eat carbohydrates by themselves to produce more serotonin. Eat about 30g of a sweet or starchy food such as breakfast cereal, pretzels, popcorn or rice. Don’t combine carbohydrate with protein, which prevents serotonin production, or fat, which adds calories.

Learn the difference between hunger and appetite. Zoloft may increase your appetite but won’t affect your true hunger level, according to Judith J. Wurtman, Ph.D. and co-author of “Halt Antidepressant-Associated Weight Gain.” To determine if you’re truly hungry, consider if you would eat a food that you don’t particularly enjoy.

Exercise more often. Take advantage of the energy boost gained from eating carbohydrates. Exercise burns calories and can slow weight gain.

Take an antacid. Antidepressants such as Zoloft may cause your stomach to produce too much acid, creating a sensation that can be mistaken for hunger.

Suggest the drug orlistat, or Xenical, to your doctor. Orlistat blocks the body’s ability to absorb dietary fat. Taking bupropion or topiramate may also be helpful.

Ask your doctor about switching drugs. Note that other drugs may not be as effective at treating your condition as Zoloft, and it may take time to find one that works.

Ask your doctor if you’re ready to stop taking Zoloft after six months. If you take an SSRI for fewer than six months, you’re less likely to experience weight gain, found a 2003 study published by Rashmi Deshmukh and Kathleen Franco in the “Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine.”

I know that everyone has different side effects, I am just wondering if weight gain is a common one. I am hoping that it is not. I need treatment for my depression but am afraid of gaining a lot of weight on SSRI’s because that in itself will make me depressed. Thank you for any and all comments and info πŸ™‚

Unfortunately weight gain is a possible side effect of Sertraline Hydrochloride, although it is not very common. Based on clinical studies, weight gain occurs in around 1% of people who take Sertraline (although the exact percentage was not reported in these studies). Given this small percentage, for individual situations it is difficult to say whether weight gain is actually caused by the medicine itself, another medical condition, a change in eating habits and/or physical activity, a combination of these factors, or something else.

Hello alisha29! Sertraline can cause weight gain as well as other SSDRI”S. I did gain weight during the first year, which was around 1990. I have not met anyone who has not gained weight on Zoloft. There has been data stating that you should not gain over 20 lbs. I gained over 40 lbs. but there were other circumstances involved. I had decided that I would rather be alittle heavier than experience symptoms of anxiety and depression again. I do need to get back to swimming 3 times a week so that I could lose some of this weight. Please talk to your doctor about your concerns. He may be able to find a medication regime that does not cause weight gain. If he does, let everyone know! You take care! Sweetie

My Dr. wanted to put me on Effexor first but I heard Zoloft was good so I asked for that instead. I kept asking him if caused weight gain and he said it depends on the person. My Mom and I have the same pshycatrist and hes cool he is willing to give you what you ask for wich is a good and bad thing. He wasent realley helpful with info on the Meds so I kind of do my own research. I do take clonazepam for anxiety and Im starting to wonder if I should just stick with that and therapy. I was on Paxil and experienced significant weight gain. about 23lbs from 170 to 193. I was so bummed that the scale was going up despite diet and exercise, so I weened off Paxil. My doc just prescribed me Zoloft. I hope it works and the panic attacks go away. I also hope there is less weight gain. I will check back in about a week or so. thanks.

I feel the same way. Ive been on Zoloft for over a month. I have not gain any weight but I cant lose none either while being on the drug that what upset me. I hope you get the results you are looking for.

I am on 200 mg sertraline since 2 months ago and I did gain weight about 5 Kg but I am not sure sertraline caused weight gain because I use 20 mg Inderal per day to prevent migraine attack, 1 mg lorazepam to sleep enough as well. I feel much better because anxiety and depression are almost gone but my appetite has increased and I have not had any exercise during said period. I told this to my doctor he said “sertraline may cause weight gain and you should have enough physical activity” I hate overweight but I prefer not to experience anxiety and depression again so I have to exercise to lose weight.

I take 200 mg Sertraline and may have gained a couple of pounds when I first started taking it five years ago. My doctor explained to me that Sertraline has the least amount of side affects and that was why he chose it for me. He also told me that if I gained weight I could lose it (nice guy) but I really needed to take this! I watch what I eat, I walk a lot and as long as I don’t GAIN I am happy. I do lose weight if I diet and exercise so yes it can be done.

Hi. weight gain is a common side effect for Zoloft. here are some anti-depressants that do not cause weight gain. Prozac, Celexa, and Lexapro. Hope this helps.

I’ve been on Zoloft for about 3yrs. It didn’t make me gain weight but everybodys different. But it do help with my depression taking it everyday at the same time.

I took Paxil, which I think is similar to Zoloft. I gained 30 pounds in 3 months and did not loose any of it when I went off (I’ve been off all my meds since July- yay!).

I am now trying to loose the weight- it did not magially drop off like I thought it would.

I gained 45 pounds on Zoloft, and it came on FAST. I have not yet lost the weight I gained on it, and it’s been harder to lose weight now than it ever has been for me. I ditched the Zoloft and stopped gaining, but what I gained won’t go away no matter how much I diet and work out.

Where did you get this nonsense? One of the drug company promotions?

Now that there is longer-term experience and some independent studies, there is little room (and there will be less and less as more research is done) for these greedy companies to make profits on drugs that contribute to weight gain and then blame it on people overeating.

If their products are so great, why don’t they offer a money back guarantee? Because the successes don’t outweight the failures.

I am 5-8 and was 114 lbs when I started Celexa, I was a swimsuit model. I was built like Cameron Diaz with boobs. I went on Celexa around April of 2000 and now i weigh 155. So yes I gained on Celexa 44 lbs in 3 years to be exact. I have just weened myself off of Celexa. I realized I was gaining weight but nothing I tried would help. I do have to admit though that I never drank more than one alcoholic beverage a week up until around Xmas time of 2001. Now I probably drink once a week about 5 or 6 beverages. I know alcohol can cause weight gain, but other than that nothing else changed. I used to be able to eat a whole blooming onion from Outback (which is like 3500 calories). Now I work out 4 times a week, watch what I eat and I still cant loose the weight.

I did gain about 15 pounds on Zoloft in one year while I was in high school, but once I quit I gained about 5 more pounds then I would say 3 months later the weight just started melting off. I did got out dancing about 3 nights a week as well, so Im sure that helped.

Im hoping that now that Im off of Celexa (its been two months) that I will start loosing the weight. From what I understand my trainer at the gym sees a lot of clients who ‘ballooned’ on an SSRI.

I think they say Paxil is the worst. one of my best friends growing up is about 5-10 and 250 pounds and she thinks its because shes been on Paxil for about 10 years. Her sisters are all at very healthy weights and they have both had 2 kids in the last 6 years. She is the only one who is obese and she’s never been pregnant.

My aunt went off Celexa for about 6 months and dropped 15 pounds but had to go back on it because of anxiety.

I have done some plus size modeling jobs at this weight. I still look attractive but do I feel attractive GOD NO. I just wanted to let you all know that yes I have gained weight and a majority of those pounds were from being on an SSRI. I ate whatever I wanted before I went on Celexa and for the last 3 years since i have been on it I have been pretty much watching whatever I put into my mouth. I have read lots of things about SSRI affecting your metabolism and your enzymes in your liver that slows down your metabolism.

I also never craved carbs before , I always craved meats and cheeses before going on Celexa. now I crave french fries and candy. I guess that carbs are a big craving when you are on SSRI. Well I hope we can all drop those pounds fast once were off of the meds. Im off and im waiting for a miracle. ;o)

I gained 70 pounds I can’t stand over the last 12 years. To be fair, there are a few reasons it happened, of which Zoloft use is only one. I had two large babies. I had two c-sections. I’ve had constant, high levels of stress — actually, maybe angst describes it better. I went from being an active exerciser with a nearly vegan diet to a sedentary lifestyle consuming a standard American diet, and did this just at the point when natural changes in metabolism dictate that one should increase activity and lower calories — I was in my 30s and passing into my 40s. Nonetheless, as a person who has taken both Zoloft and Paxil for prolonged periods, the Paxil experience being in my 20s and before children, I am completely convinced that these drugs caused this problem. These two drugs are exactly the same kind of medications; not only are they SSRIs, but they are both formulated to treat both depression and anxiety. I KNOW they cause weight gain. Here’s the unique contribution to this conversation: I don’t think it’s the antidepressant function that causes that problem, I think it’s the anti-anxiety function that causes that problem.

I’m not a medical professional, but I have good scientific reasoning, and my theory is that the same function in these drugs that turns your “fight or flight” reflex off, and enables you to stop panicking when there is no reason to panic, because it works on the sympathetic nervous system, and unconscious, instinctual reactions to stress, I believe also affect metabolism. When I think about this logically, I can see a connection between a high metabolic rate and a tendency to be high strung. Doesn’t it seem like those might go together?

Not far above me is a person who says that she lost six pounds switching from Zoloft to Xanax. I don’t want to be a downer, no pun intended, but I have a prescription to Xanax and I gained ten pounds with lightning speed when I started taking more of it for a month. Xanax is an anti-anxiety medication and I believe your results may be short lived. The best thing to do where that is concerned, in my well-considered amateur opinion, is to use Xanax as a “break glass in case of emergency” medication. Take half of a tablet. Only take another half if it doesn’t work, and don’t take it regularly. Manage as much anxiety as you can through other means.

I have been on Zoloft for 10 years (!) and finally decided to try without it. I don’t think I need it anymore and I’m sick of being about 50 pounds overweight. My doctors tell me I have to lose weight and lover my blood pressure..I kind of get annoyed because I eat very healthy, cook my own food, bake my own bread (whole grain), exercise,and HARDLY EVER eat suger. I don’t even like it!

I have tried numerous of times to get off Zolof but always ended back on the meds. This time I have done better. I tapered off and I now only take 1/10 of 50 mg once a week. I haven’t felt dizzy or anything but my conern is – HOW DO I LOSE MY WEIGHT. I have gained 50 pounds and I would REALLY like to get back in shape. I eat right, exercise, and really try to keep my carbs down.

I think it’s been easy to get off the med since I’m really happy at work and I also think I’m in love.

I gained over 20 lbs, using Zoloft for about 5 months. Although I was feeling better during drug intake process, I was not aware of physical change until months later. After 6 – 7 mos of leaving zoloft, I am finally loosing weight, due to accupunture!! Perhaps meds cuased blockage in body and potentially altered metabolic rate. After avoiding zoloft, I was walking 9 miles a day, but, w/o any weight loss.

In the end, Zoloft reduced depression/anxiety, weight gain started to create anxiety issues. In the long term, zoloft seemed to be quite ineffective.

for anyone starting a new anti-depressant——–
I would suggest to weight yourself every week or couple of weeks. This is the way the weight sneaks on. If you only go by how your clothes fit, you may assume you’ ve gained 5 pounds when you’ve really gained 20. I gained a lot of weight on Zoloft, but I was unaware of this side effect. I went months without weighing. If you see you’re gaining weight, you can increase your exercise, lower your calories, etc.

Also, working out at Curves helped me. You put muscle on your body which increases your metabolism and calories burned.

I have gained 50lbs on Paxil and I am now slowly coming off of it. Your not alone. Keep trying to come off the meds or switch to another. And keep eating right.

I have not gained any weight on Zoloft HOWEVER:

I drink 8 glasses of water a day
I exercise 3 to 4 times a week
I don’t eat more than 1800 calories a day, most days less like 1200
I eat fruit, veggies, protein and the right amount of carbs
I don’t drink soda anymore

I should be losing weight, but (in my non-medical opinion) that I am working to stay the same weight

I am now on 25mg of Zoloft a day. I used to be on 100mg. I will see the doctor next month about getting off completely. I started in 2007 and gained over 30 pounds. I’ve struggled with weight for years. “Healthy” eating just didn’t seem to do it for me and diets are so difficult. The thought of the long road ahead, caused me to loose willpower. I am happy to report that I have lost 34 pounds since spring and here is how I did it.

I set a start date on the calender. I told myself 30 days. I can do this for 30 days. I went on a low carb diet. I like Atkins diet because of the meal bars and shakes make portion control easy and they actually taste good. I did not cheat at all for thirty days and I think it is because my goal was not to loose 30 pounds but to just loose as much weight as I could in 30 days. I didn’t starve myself. I exercised as much as I could find time.

At the end of the 30 days I gave myself permission to go off the diet, but because I could see such good results, and because I had gotten into the habbit of eating this way, I continued on with my diet. It really worked for me. As I got closer to reaching my weight woss goal, I ate more, to slow down the weight loss. Anyway, this is how I did it. Hope this helps.

Well. it’s good and bad that i found all of these posts. i am also on 50mg of zoloft and a marathon runner. I run and work out a lot! on a usual day I do an AM run of 3 miles. an afternoon run of 3 – 6 miles and then do a 1hr spin/weights class at the gym. I run long runs on the weekend 10 – 20 miles and on the other weekend day I ride my bike for about 1 hr 40 mins. I have GAINED weight. Like 10lbs in the past three weeks. I have been working so hard. counting calories. adding an extra 20 minutes on the EFX machine before my aerobics classes. nothing. I have an appt with my dr for next Monday. If I plan on being any type of successful runner, I need to lose weight. I’m not sure if it’s zoloft or another metabolic disorder. Now I’m depressed that getting off of zoloft won’t work.

I am on 100 mg a day. I have not gained weight but I run or walk almost every day and pretty much watch what I eat. The drug, plus therapy, have helped me get my life back. Without it I was skinny and depressed. I’d rather exercise and be happy.

I have posted about this on Effexor, but I was on Zoloft for 3 or 4 months (first half 50mg, second half 100mg) before I started Effexor, and was on Effexor for 4-6 weeks (lowest dosage). It’s been 5-6 months since I have been completely off Effexor and my weight will not budge.

I assure you, this is not because I’m eating too much. Prior to my anxiety problems, I lost over 112 lbs doing it natural and hard work, no drugs of any kind, supplements, etc. I kept logs of daily food intake and measured everything out so I was positive I was eating exactly what I recorded. I worked out 5-6 days a week vigorously for 45-1hr doing weights and cardio. I was 342lbs and got all the way down to 230lbs. I started taking Zoloft and then Effexor when I was around 230lbs and started gaining weight back, despite watching my calorie intake and exercising. I am male 6’2, 259lbs now (29lbs heavier) and I am scared to death about gaining weight back. Obviously, having been so big to start and losing it all, every pound that I see go on scares me. I have tried my best to lose weight, and am doing everything I did previously, even harder, to lose but I cannot get 1lb to fall off. I just don’t understand it. I regret taking these drugs. I decided after 20lbs gain that I would quit the drugs and deal with anxiety on my own, and i’ve been successful at that. But now I cannot lose this weight. Every Saturday morning when I weigh myself and see no progress, I get quite upset and aggravated, because I know what definitely worked before and nothing I do is causing me to lose anything! At my size, I’m eating 1800 calories a day and working out and I still can’t even lose 1lb. There’s something wrong with that. In the past, I was losing 2-3lbs a week doing exactly this. Ive gotten some of my belly back, thigh fat, and fat under my arms. It is driving me up a wall.

I really don’t know what to do anymore. I want to go back to the psychiatrist and cuss them out for this but I don’t think that will solve anything. They told me this would not happen and look what happened? When I was gaining weight initially I talked to the psychiatrist and they said after 1-2 weeks coming off this would stop, well it hasn’t. I kept gaining weight for the next month or so after I quit the drug, then the weight gain stopped for the most part but I still cannot lose anything.

I have gained at least 45 lbs since starting Zoloft a few years ago. I’m 41 years old and I have NEVER been this heavy in my life. I’m right around 245 at 6 ft tall. As an adult I’ve fluctuated between 175-195. About 3 years ago I started taking Zoloft gradually. I think I started with no more than 25mg per day, maybe less. Over the next few months I tapered up to higher doses. During those months I started craving carbohydrates. We all get cravings now and then and I didn’t think much of it. But I started making special trips to the store just to buy peanut M&M’s. Within less than 2 months I had gained 30 lbs. I consulted my prescribing doctor who told me that Zoloft does cause carb craving – information he could have told me BEFORE I started the medication. A few months later I asked him specifically if Zoloft slows metabolism and he said the jury was still out. But I would say my craving for carbs increased and I feel that my metabolism is much slower.

During the initial weight gain I was still tapering up my dosage. I got up to 200mg per day. Interestingly, by that time the carb craving had gone away. It started on a lower dose and you’d expect it to get worse with increased dosage. Didn’t happen with me, though. The serious cravings just went away.

Yes, medications can affect different people in different ways. I think in general that Zoloft makes you crave carbs and slows metabolism. But I think the dosage of Zoloft is a big factor also. I didn’t notice dosage amounts in any of the posts above. If Zoloft does cause weight gain, you’ll probably notice more weight gain with higher doses.

I have been taking Zoloft for the past three years of my life. I have a very small build to begin with (regularly weighing 108 lbs. at 5’4″). During my time on Zoloft, the only changes in weight I have noticed have been accredited to enviromental causes.

On the contrast, when I began taking Seroquel, I did notice my body requiring less calories to maintain my weight. Since I have stopped taking it, I’ve found that my body requires 3,000 calories to maintain my weight with 30 minutes of Irish Dance and 30 minutes of Running daily.

My physcaitrist claims Zoloft to be weight nuetral. I do beleive this theory, seeing as I carefully count my calories (being an athlete) and notice the dietary habits of others less cognisent. So for those of you who have gained since taking Zoloft, I’d reccomend counting your calories so you can see where the REAL source of weight gain in coming from!

Exercise is very beneficial, also. As I mentioned, I work out an hour a day, six days a week (except I have bronchitis at the moment, so won’t be able to exercise for the next week :(((() Being physically active is an integral part in your physical and emotional health, one aspect that I have found very important in combating my depression. Even after today, day one of not working out, I feel marketably worse πŸ™

Okay, my rambling is over. From my observations and knowledge, Zoloft should niether cause a weight gain or loss. Just monitor your diet closely and adhere to regular exercise, most days of the week. I have been on zoloft for about 3 months (50 mg for the first month, 100 for the second and third). I noticed slight weight loss (about 3-5 lbs) in the first 2 months. But in the last month I have lost 7 more lbs. I was worried about it and my doctor told me to continue taking them (as I was benefiting from it) and just make sure I eat a balanced diet, and aim at increasing my calorie intake slightly. Now, I eat whatever I want, and I stay around 129 (I’m typically 136 or higher). I do enjoy the weight loss, however, I would not want to loose anymore, as I am 5’10” and losing any more weight would make me look way too skinny.

On a side note, I have known several of my friends to take zoloft, and they all benefited from a 1-2 pound loss in weight. I’ve not known anyone to gain weight.

I have been on Zoloft for about 12 years and have gained a total of 45 lbs. I take 100 mg each day. I also believe that this drug makes you gain weight. I’ve had hernia surgery due the weight, and will have another surgery this summer. Drugs effect people in different ways; so one person’s experience is totally different than another’s. There have been times when I exercise at least and hour a day, and have also gained weight. I get so fed up with no weight loss that I sometimes just don’t exercise at all. It’s so frustrating, especially when one is doing everything they can. I can’t go off the medication because I have anger issues, and can get very ugly.

I’m pretty much stuck between a rock and a hard place. I don’t know what I’m going to do.

I recently tapered off zoloft after being on it for 8-10 months. Like many people, I lost weight in the first month due to some of the side effects (feeling jittery, loss of appetite, nausea) but then gradually, overtime, the weight gain happened. At this point I think it was about 15-17 lbs that I gained. I have a very small frame, so that is quite a lot for someone used to being 120-125 lbs. Although I had no changes (and if any, they were improvements) to my workouts and healthy eating, the weight gain happened. Although I did gain weight, I was happy with the results that I felt from zoloft (managing anxiety) so I wouldn’t take it back for anything. Right now I’m trying to go without any meds except for a breakthrough like klonopin as needed. It’s challenging, but hang in there! I’m hoping to get my usually fast metabolism up to pace after getting off zoloft.

Also, seriously taper down with a doctor. DO NOT just stop taking immediately, you will need to taper down for like 3 months, at least. The side effects of getting off are really terrible, but if you are stressing about getting off immediately because of weight loss, be patient and taper safely with a doctor’s advice. The weight will come off on its own.

Please consider that drastic weight gain or weight loss is unhealthy!
Every person responds to carbohydrates, fats, lactose, fructose, aerobic exercise, physical/mental exertion, bacteria, viruses, injury, environmental influences, situational influences, and most important, brain chemicals (including medications) differently because we are not genetically identical!
If a doctor dismisses a patient with criticism that he/she is not dieting and exercising enough, the patient should find another doctor who specializes in mental health/disorders in conjunction with a counselor, nutritionist, and physical therapist/trainer, again, specialists in the field of brain disorders/imbalances.
IMPROPER DIETING AND/OR EXERCISING CAN BE A CAUSE OF DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY, EVEN PSYCHOSIS RATHER THAN A SYMPTOM. –too few calories starve cells, worst of all vital calories for brain cells, which may trigger genetically inherited coping mechanisms. In some people, insufficient calories may trigger fat preservation, food anxiety, irritability, depression and, in some cases, irreversible brain disorders. Some doctors/patients may be treating symptoms rather than the illness. And let’s not discount the addictive components of prescription drugs that may cause depression, anxiety, energy, and appetite.

Booboo; Zoloft can have a side effect of gaining or losing weight Did you just start this medication or have you been on it a while.One thing for good health even if your not hungry eat anyway it is good for your mental health they can be smaller portions but you must eat something just a snack if you want to take advantage of the weight loss but if you don’t need it try not to skip meals. You have to keep you physical health up also. I like you was on Zoloft for years and had to fight with myself to eat so I know this for a fact.But as with any drug it can work differently for all of us. Please keep us posted how you are doing if you are new on Zoloft, Or any other questions feel free we are not doctors we are people like you that want to help others with the questions we have been through already.But if you can’t afford to lose weight make sure you snack several times a day.You well find some of the greatest people right here I have been to many sites and our people that stay here because this is one of the best sites I have found and love helping others get through the tough times Hope you HAVE A great weekend.

I started taking the generic of Zoloft (insurance!) just this week. It doesn’t specify on my bottle whether to take it am or pm so I started taking it at around 7pm. I also take trazodone so have no problem sleeping. I’m very allergic to most nedications but so far so good with this generic brand (Sertraline 25mg) my doctor told ne that he was starting me out with a ‘baby’ strength πŸ™‚ to ease me into it.

I can’t say how long it will take, but can offer some tips! I was on Cymbalta for anxiety and depression and gained some weight on it. I didn’t gain much because I was only on it for about 1/2 a year. About 5 pounds heavier, I started to notice the weight gain although I was eating the same as before, so I really watched what I ate. Some days I just made protein shakes with the calories I needed and drank those for 2 out of my 3 meals. I wasn’t losing ANYTHING so I knew it was the antidepressants.

As soon as I went off them, I started losing weight pretty easily. Of course I had to watch what I ate and exercise. I’d recommend finding an exercise you enjoy that you can do at least 3-4 times a week. I work out 5 times a week and find that it helps with my moods and makes me feel much happier! Hopefully the same happens for you . I chose jogging because I was tired of using the elliptical (which is what I did before) and wanted a change. I also started lifting light weights. Set aside time for exercise. it’s great time for yourself to just burn off any stress. Keep around healthy foods that you enjoy and just try to eat well balanced meals! I lost the weight I gained from antidepressants within a month because I didn’t gain much. I got down to my goal weight (which I haven’t weighed for about 4 years) in about 5 months total. It took time, but I did allow msyelf to have a cheat day every week to eat whatever I wanted. I think it was easier to keep up the good work and maintain my goal weight when I didn’t rush myself into it and did it the healthy way!

Hi, I gained 60 lbs from being on celexa (anti-depressent) My doctor suggest I go off of Celexa and go on Meridia for weight loss which she mentioned should help as well with depression.

Well 3 1/2 weeks later. My life has changed. I now feel great. Meridia has motivated me to get up before work and do a exercise tape before work and I get full very easily. I feel like am more disicpled. As of today I have lost 13 lbs & I feel great.
